Double Snow Day!

The weather has gotten crazy down here in Georgia!  People have been referring it to "Snowpocalypse" with only about 1 1/2 inches of snow.  Yesterday the offices and schools let everyone out at the same time, 1:45, and the roads were instantly grid locked.  Nobody here knows how to drive in snow!  Pretty soon our roads turned icy and the craziness hasn't stopped.  It took Fred 8 hours to drive home from work and it took Roy 6 hours.  Luckily it only took me 45 minutes, but that was because I got a head start and left early.  Coming from the same school, my mom wasn't as lucky and it took her 2 hours to get home.  Thank goodness we had enough gas!  Most of the school buses couldn't make their routes so many students spent the night in their schools.  Now that we are safe at home we are starting to enjoy the snow, but we are one of the few families that made it home.  Many people spent the night at their jobs or wherever they happened to be when this started (grocery stories, restaurants, etc.).  Thankfully it will be in the 60's this weekend.  For my mom and I school is closed today and they are also closing for tomorrow, so it's a double snow day here!  Roy and I have been spending it outside enjoying the snow.  Blue loves it!  We played in the yard with her for a long time and then walked the neighborhood.  We took tons of photos that will be great for Christmas cards next year!  The rest of the day we will probably watch tv, play cards and play boards games because the roads are still to dangerous to drive on.  I still can't believe that all this has happened, I didn't even know we had a chance for snow!  One things for sure, I know I'm in Georgia now because our weather prides itself on being unpredictable.

2 months old...

Today I am 2 months old.  Other than me growing out of newborn size diapers and clothes, not much has changed.

I'm still  having tummy issues, but am a little happier.  My appointment with the stomach specialist isn't until the 15th of February.  How crazy it is that I have to wait over a month just to see the doctor.

I've been sleeping in my crib for a week now and think it's pretty comfy.  My Illini mobile is keeping me quite entertained.  I'm averaging 8-9 hours a night which Mommy and Daddy are pleased about.

Stay warm!

Happy 2014!!!

I had a fantastic time at Uncle Don's on Saturday.  Once again it was awesome catching up with my stellar family.  Thanks again for all the goodies for my munchkins.

Uncle Don, I heard your foot is fractured?!?  No more carrying tables by yourself. I hope your orthopedic appt went well. Keep us posted.  Thinking of you...

Happy Birthday Mrs.Serna.  Anything special planned?

We have been digging out of the snow for the past 2 days.  I have to admit, it is quite pretty!  Evelyn and Isaac are grinning from ear to ear.  They love to play in the snow and go sledding.

Enjoy the first weekend of the year...

One Month Old

Merry Christmas Family!

Today I am one month old.  I'm still trying to figure out what this thing called life is all about.

One thing I know for sure is that I couldn't be more loved.  I've been born into to the greatest family on the planet.  I'm adored by my big sister Evelyn.  There is no better helper.  Her motherly instinct is undeniable.  Big brother Isaac is so caring and such a lover.  I'm looking forward to learning so much from them.

Sad to say, I'm not a happy baby.  I spit up ALOT and seem to have GERD.  I was put on medicine a week ago, but it has yet to make a difference.  I go back to the doctor on Friday, so I will keep you posted.

I look forward to meeting the rest of you very soon...

1/2 a decade...

That's right!  Today marks my 5th birthday!  I'm going to enjoy the day celebrating with my new friends in my Pre-K class.  This is just my second week, but I'm really enjoying it.  I go three days a week from 8am to 1 pm.  I'd go five if mom and dad would let me ... something about being too expensive.   I love to learn, read and make crafts.  I've been making beaded jewelry lately which is lots of fun.  I spent a lot of the summer playing in the pool and riding my bike.  I've have many play dates with friends too, but by all time favorite friend continues to be my little bro.  We play really well together and our imaginations compliment one another.

Look at me...Today I'm 3

That's right!  I'm officially 3 fingers today.  As you can see, I'm very excited about turning 3. Today we are going to the spray park, then out for ice cream.

I am such a sweet boy!  I'm caring, well mannered and quite good at sharing.  My listening ears can use some fine tuning at times.  Mommy is hoping it's my age.

I'm a great eater and am willing to try new foods all the time.  Nanny Donna can't believe I even eat raw spinach.  :)

I sleep very well and have been enjoying bunking with big sis, Evelyn.  We love our new bunk beds!

My favorite activity is singing and watching music videos.  I love belting out tunes.  I'm a fab entertainer, once I get passed my occasional shyness.  I also enjoy bike riding, playing with little people, cars, books, puzzles, coloring, and movies.  I love, love, love Toy Story, but Amazing Spiderman is now a close second.

I start preschool in a couple weeks and can't wait!  I have a new backpack and lunchbox, so I'm ready to go.

Enjoy the rest of the summer!  I look forward to seeing some of you at my combo birthday party on September 28th.
