Room, Foot, and Home

Hello All,

We hope you're all doing fine! The Family room is almost done, it has some furniture inside now!!! We don't want to put all of it back, so we are debating what to do with it.

Terry has gotten an operation on her foot. She's fine, her toes are still a little bit grey, but nothing to worry about.

We all just got back from Norridge! We were looking at a retirement home for Marcie (Terry's mother). The apartment complex looked fabulous; very warm, welcoming, and cozy! :) We hope she moves this time...(for her saftey)

Hope to see ya'll soon,

Tornado

Hello All,

Yesterday was a bit scary for us. The tornado sirens went off twice around 8:00 pm. Naturally,
we went down to the basement. We later learned that there was a tornado spotted at 176 and Hawley. I read there wasn't any damage. We have the potential today for another round of storms. Thank goodness no one was hurt.

We planted our 3 tomato plants and 4 cucumber plants this week. I hope they grow.

Take care everyone and enjoy the warmer weather.

5 years and 6 months...

Hello all,

Here we are on our 5th wedding anniversary. Notice the beautiful flowers I'm holding??... They're from my wonderful husband. :)

We had a very nice day. We pulled weeds and did some planting of flowers in the backyard. We went to Chili's for dinner. On Thursday night, we went to see Stone Temple Pilots at an outdoor venue in the city, right next to the lake. It was a great time, but we were chilly.

And here I am 6 months preggo. I continue to feel pretty well, but tire very easily. Our little peanut has been quite active lately. It's still a surreal feeling.

I've been doing lots of spring cleaning/organizing since our neighborhood garage sale is this weekend. I hope it's a success. Then, we can begin to think about the baby's room.

Hope everyone is doing great and that Tommy's graduation gathering was lots of fun. Wish we could have been there. I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the Lou's pizza. There is no other. :)
Enjoy the Memorial holiday. I will be enjoying it at work.
Love,
Missy

All Saints Cemetery

Hi everyone:

This is one of the pictures from our trip to All Saints Cemetery last week. The Two flowers on both sides were chosen by the 4 brothers & wives. The big flower in the middle represents the grandchildren which was picked and generously donated by Bobby.
We're all doing fine! Terry is at work and is doing fine. Dana is doing great at school, she got a Teacher's Choice Award from one of her teachers at an assembly. I am almost done with the family room... We are anxiously awaiting our visit to Georgia and Tommy's graduation. See you then........

Happy 18th Tommy!!!

Hey Tommy,

Happy 18th birthday! I can't believe you're already 18. The older folks say, the older you get, the faster time flies. This is very true.

I can vividly remember babysitting you with Grandma and we would put you in your bouncy seat on the kitchen table and turn the fan on. You were mesmerized, making "Ooohhh" noises and sometimes even pointing. I also remember purposely waking you up so I could play with you. We had so much fun.

I hope you're having a wonderful day and that you have great fun celebrating your 18th!

Love Ya,
Missy

this is what 4 months looks like :)

Hello all,

4 months and growing... Happy to report I'm feeling great these days, just a bit tired. No more nausea!!! Yea!

Dave will begin his 4th week at HSBC tomorrow. So far, he's not liking it because there is no organization and no one knows what's going on. He has some great ideas and plans to implement them asap. He has to work in this position for a year, then he can transfer and work for his old boss from Wamu. He's going to tough it out and knows it will only get better from here. Good news is his boss loves him.

Hope you are enjoying this Easter Sunday. We went to see Dave's grandma. She now has a 24/7 caregiver who is very nice. She's a 32 yr old woman from Mongolia. There's a slight language barrier, but nothing that can't be overcome. Gram is so weak. She was on bed rest for over 5 weeks at the nursing home and came back to her apt. this past Tues. She can't walk at all and can barely pivot from the chair to the bed. And she is suffering with a terrible cold. Needless to say, our visit was short, but nice.

We have snow on the ground. Will it ever end? :)

Hope all is great. Drop a line once in awhile. Would love to hear what's going on day to day.

Uncle Don, how is your remodeling project coming?

Have a wonderful week.

Love,
Missy
