Movin' on up...

Greetings,

On behalf of Angela, I'd like to inform everyone that she and Jeremiah have just gotten new jobs in the Champaign area.  With that said, their house is up for sale and they are renting a place near Champaign.

They currently don't have internet, but expect to next week.  She will post a more detailed update then.

CAN YOU GUESS WHO'S TWO???

Howdy Folks! Yep - today I'm two and am no longer a "baby" in the eyes of my Mommy.  This actually makes her a bit sad.  :(  I'm an incredibly cheerful little man who loves to smile and play.  Big sister, Evelyn and I have a blast together!  We play on the swing set and ride bikes. We read books and color.  I'm really liking trains, cars and dinosaurs these days too.  My favorite thing to do is climb!  It drives Mommy and Daddy nuts, but I enjoy hoisting myself up on the kitchen sink to turn on the faucet and play in the water.  And I move at lightening speed.  They turn around for a minute, and there I go.
Although I'm as skinny as a rail, my appetite is quite impressive....same as my sleep habits- I'm such an easy kid.  I'm FULL of words, (words that you can actually understand), and chat it up all day long.  I thank Evelyn for my verbal skills.  That girl talks and talks and talks!
I have to be on my best behavior that I'm two since I'm now old enough to be placed on the naughty rug.  I'm going to have to really consider if the action is worth the consequence of time out.  Hhmmm...Decisions...  :)
I sure hope all of you can come to my birthday party so we can celebrate this big day together!

Belize it!

Dear all:

Sorry it's taken so long to get these photos up, it's been a busy summer!  It was really hard to decide on what photos to put up, it's incredible how much we saw and did in just 10 days.  We went all over Belize, we saw mayan ruins, small towns, beaches and jungles.  It was an amazing trip, looking at these pictures again makes me miss it so much!  I hope I can share more photos with you later!

Hunter is 2!!

Hunter is 2 years old. Man does time fly faster when you have kids. Hunter is full of energy and is always on the go. He is a great eater when he wants to be. He has a small word vocabulary, but a very big sound vocabulary. Everything has a sound. He can be nice as can be one minute then the next minute he is mean as snot. But I guess that goes along with being 2. He is sleeping about 10-12 hours a night and is still taking 2-3 hour nap.
Hunter had a great birthday party. He had fun playing with the kids.
My job is going good. I am still at the hospital in the NICU and work 3 12 hours nights.
Jeremiah got a new job. He is a sales man for the ambassador company. The company is a christian based company and has been around for I think 35 years. He is selling book for the 1st and 4th graders in small towns. The schools do not pay for the books. He has to go to area business and try and get them to sponsor the books. He made is first sale day 2 on the job and sale #2 day 3. He really enjoyed his 1st week. He told me that this job is a feel good job and seems to really like the job.
Thank you everybody for the really nice gifts. Hunter really enjoys playing with them all. Scott it was really nice to see you as well. Hunter had a blast playing with you too.
Hope to see all of you soon.

Updates in the Serna/Beyer family

We have had a lot of new changes in our family! The first bit of good news is that I recently passed my first GACE (Georgia Assessments for the Certification of Educators). I took the middle grades science test and passed! I am now qualified to teach science in grades 6-8 in Georgia, once I have a college degree. Our system here is that you need to have a degree in any subject and then pass the GACE in whatever subject you would like to teach. I plan on taking the history one sometime in the summer. Second, Roy got an awesome job at the company I-Technical Services. His position is incoming quality inspector, in which he reviews different technological components before they are sent out to be assembled. He checks to make sure they work properly and writes reports on what needs to be fixed. Lastly, Roy and I have added an addition to our little family with our first dog together. Her name is Blue and she is a 10 week old Aussie/Flat coat mix, and she is a handful! If there is trouble to be had she will find it! She loves to eat everything and is still working on being trained. She starts puppy kindergarten on March 16th and it is a 6 week course. Roy and I are still getting used to the big responsiblity of raising her, but while it is difficult it is very rewarding. We love her very much and we are sure she will get along very well with the puppy that will be arriving in June because she is very sweet. She is 13 pounds now but she's estimated to grow to 60! Enjoy the pictures!
