Getting ready for summer

Hello everyone!  It has been  a busy few months for us.  I decided to take more classes in the spring semester so that I would be free to work more this summer and it was a packed semester!  I am so happy to be finally through with it and on to my last semester before student teaching, my maymester.  I am doing a 3 week maymester course titled The Natural Environment of Georgia.  It is an amazing course that has 5 field trips so that we can experience the 5 different eco-regions of the state.  This week we experienced the Piedmont and Blue Ridge regions.  We have been doing some pretty exhausting hikes but it is so worth it!  We get to see some beautiful views and learn about so many different species.  I am eager to bring this new information into my future classrooms.  Once I've finished with this course both my mom and I will be off for the entire summer.  Roy will be taking more classes, but he is excited to be getting into his first computer science courses.  We will also begin training once more for the Atlanta half.  Last year I started in July but this year I hope to get more serious in June, right when my class finishes.  We are also looking forward to the summer so that we can introduce Gregor to the outdoors.  Gregor is our latest edition to the family, he is a baby Bearded Dragon and because he is ectothermic he could not go outside during the cooler months.  He came to us from Orlando in February and has not stopped growing!  Currently he is 12 inches, but I am hoping that he reaches the full size of 24 inches by his birthday, which is November 18th (or should I say hatch-day!).  Hopefully Gregor will be joining me on my teaching journey to become my class pet.  He is very docile so I believe he will be great with my students.  I am more than ready for summer to arrive and I can't wait to see what's in store for the fall!  Enjoy some of my photos taken from the Blue Ridge eco-region.

Here are a few pictures from our super fun Halloween.  Evelyn was a spider princess and Isaac was Dracula.  Once again, my friend made their costumes.

Here's the group.  My friend also made both Minnie Mouse costumes and the Captain America.

Updates

Hey everyone!  We have been so busy down here planning our wedding but it's coming along really well.  And now we only have 3 weeks left until our Thanksgiving half marathon!  Time is really going by fast!  Everyone should have recieved their invitation now, please let me know asap if you have not gotten yours.  The ceremony is at St. Brigid at 2 and the reception is at Roswell Founders Hall at 6:30.  We have also created a registry at Williams-Sonoma.  You can view it online by going to their website and clicking the registry tab.  Once you are on the registry page, go to the find registry section and enter our information.  To view it you will need to know the date (December 15), the state (Georgia), and a first and last name.  For the name you will need to enter Samantha Beyer, not Roy's name.  We do not want you to feel obligated to bring gifts because we have already recieved gifts last year but we hope the registry is helpful if you do want to bring something.  We are so excited for the wedding and getting to see everyone again!  We will be going to Toronto for our honeymoon because Roy and I love the Maple Leafs and we wanted to see them play.  Unfortunately the NHL is having some issues this year and so far they have not started any games, but we will still be able to enjoy the city.  I also posted some pictures that I have taken this semester, as you can see Blue is getting very big!  Roy and I are so proud of the dog she has grown to be but after a lot of thought we have decided to board her during the wedding.  We love her so much, but I'm sure my dress would become the most expensive toy she has ever seen!  The other pictures are some I took in Atlanta in school.  Hope everything is well with everyone else, see you soon!
