More Fun Times

On Sunday night we were graced with a performance by the B Band. Kudos to all the members, especially Tommy who was the only one brave enough to be the vocalist. As you can see, Uncle Fred is showing his support by waving his lighter in the back ground. ;)

Our Christmas Celebration

We surely missed the Brandon's, but I think it's safe to say, a super fun time was had by all. I just wish we could see each other more often! Again, many thanks to Aunt Shawn, Uncle Fred, Tommy & Sami for their warm and inviting hospitality...

Sunrise or sunset?

To my loved kinfolk, if you guessed a sunset, you are correct. Your prize is an authentic, Scottsdale, Arizona cactus, which will be available the first of next year. I will be paying the postage. Looking forward to seeing all of you in Georgia, and will tell all of you about it. Staying warm in Chicago...

Christmas Grab...

Hello Everyone,

I'm just wondering if we are going to do the adult grab this year? I think we did a $15 or was it a $20 grab last year? Should we do a male/female grab or should the gifts not be gender specific?

Any thoughts???

trip the the zoo

We had a great time last week. Dave, Evelyn and I spent the entire week together! It was such a treat not having to work. We went to a snowboarding convention in Schaumburg with some friends. Dave and I went downtown for Marissa's 30th birthday celebration. We also went to Dave's Grams for a Halloween parade and one night for dinner. All of these pictures are of our super fun adventure at Brookfield Zoo. Dave started his new job on Monday. He remains at HSBC, but is now doing forecasting. Still accounting, but more finance. (that's what he tells me anyway) He's now working for 2 guys he worked with at Wamu, which is nice. So far, so good. But with a promotion, he will be traveling to Buffalo at least once a month.

Happy Halloween

Have a great time trick or treating. Hope everyone is well.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween to all!!! I have spent the entire morning attempting to upload a video of Evelyn and her pumpkin, but have been unsuccessful. I will keep trying... We are going to Mundelein to Colleen's to trick or treat, then to my parents neighborhood. (Colleen made Evelyn's Raggedy Ann costume.Too cute, huh? The woman is 7 1/2 months pregnant and insisted she make her costume. I told her to surprise us and am very pleased with the design.) Any plans for any other families? Are Dana and Sami dressing up and trick or treating too? Hope everyone has a safe and super fun weekend. The best part is the extra hour of sleep!

fun-filled fall day...

Yesterday was a great day!! Not only did I turn 13 months old, Mommy and Daddy and I went to Goebbert's. It's an animal farm and pumpkin patch in South Barrington. We went on a pony and a hay ride, watched pig races, pet lots of soft fuzzy animals and picked out pumpkins. They even had camel rides, but I wasn't big enough.

Happy Birthday to me!

Yeppers...today I am one year old. Time sure flies when you're having fun and learning too! Can you believe the baby picture is of me a year ago?!? I hardly recognize myself.

I have to admit, I gave Mommy a real hard time during my photo shoot this morning. I didn't want to sit still. Sitting is yesterday's news since I'm walking now. My record is 20 steps! The most exciting part is that I walk without any coaxing. I just go.

Yesterday was the last time I drank from a bottle and from Mommy. I'm a big girl now. I'm no longer interested anyway and am tolerating whole milk just fine.

I've been very entertained with the toys I received for my birthday. My ride on princess car is awesome and I really like my big legos, but one of my favorite things to do is play with the garbage can. I love to open and close the lid.

I've been eating everything, as always. Some of my new favorites are grapes, strawberries, grilled cheese and beef stroganoff. Yummy!

I continue to be a very happy girl with such a content disposition. People marvel at how good I am. (...just wait...) ;)

party time...

Hello, here are some pictures from my first birthday party. It was a surprise. Mommy & Daddy did a great job keeping it a secret because I had no idea what was going on, but it was so much fun! If this is what parties are like I can't wait until my second birthday! I really enjoyed my birthday cupcake. I think I did a pretty good job devouring it. Life would be so sweet if I could eat cupcakes all day long. :) Mommy has been trying to post a video of the cupcake action, but it's not uploading, so she posted a couple pics instead.

I got lots of nice presents. New clothes, books, a picture frame, a bench, a ride on princess car and a lion to help me walk, to name a few. Thank you to everyone!

Wedding Culture

Jim and I attended two weddings on Saturday for the same couple. The husband came from a Indian background and the bride came from a Greek background. It was very interesting. The Indian ceremony was at 10:00 am with a luncheon following. The Greek ceremony was at 4:00 with the reception following. It was a very long day. I did learn how to do some Indian dancing.

We had a little free time between ceremonies so we drove by the old Beyer house on Oriole Ave in Chicago and took this picture.

Here is a picture of the tile floor in our upstairs bathroom that Bobby and his friend George put in for us. Bobby did 90% of the work. They did a nice job. Next comes the downstairs bathroom.

Hi from Waggoner

This is our pond. Jake and Katie really like to swim in the pond and chase bull frogs.
This is the side yard.

Here are pictures of our new house. It is a log home that sits on 5 acres and is nestled in woods. It is very peaceful here and we both really like it. We see wildlife everyday and sometimes even in our yard. We both really like our new jobs.

Greetings From Texas

Hello All! Well my summer is completed at Cedar Point which means I am not living in Texas. The move was pretty good, Mom and I had the long 17 hour drive from Indianapolis to Houston! It was a great drive to spend with my mom before being out on my own. I'm not sure how thrilled my mom was since she was forced to drive the truck towing a trailer, but she did a great job!

Thursday was spent with Mom, Dad, Lyn, and Ron unloading the trailer and moving all of my belongings up to the third floor on probably the hottest I could ever remember! Luckily we were able to pay some of the landscapers to haul that heavy couch up the three-flights of stairs!

After the move we all spent the next few days enjoying our company and spending a relaxing day in Galveston and enjoying probably the best shrimp/seafood I have ever eaten!

As for the near future, I sign my contract tomorrow and begin staff training this week. All of the Cy-Fair staff reports next Monday (8-17-09) for our week of training then the students arrive on Monday the 24th. I have attached some pictures of the apartment thus far . . . I'm sure there will be more to come!
