Greetings From Texas

Hello All! Well my summer is completed at Cedar Point which means I am not living in Texas. The move was pretty good, Mom and I had the long 17 hour drive from Indianapolis to Houston! It was a great drive to spend with my mom before being out on my own. I'm not sure how thrilled my mom was since she was forced to drive the truck towing a trailer, but she did a great job!

Thursday was spent with Mom, Dad, Lyn, and Ron unloading the trailer and moving all of my belongings up to the third floor on probably the hottest I could ever remember! Luckily we were able to pay some of the landscapers to haul that heavy couch up the three-flights of stairs!

After the move we all spent the next few days enjoying our company and spending a relaxing day in Galveston and enjoying probably the best shrimp/seafood I have ever eaten!

As for the near future, I sign my contract tomorrow and begin staff training this week. All of the Cy-Fair staff reports next Monday (8-17-09) for our week of training then the students arrive on Monday the 24th. I have attached some pictures of the apartment thus far . . . I'm sure there will be more to come!

Your new place looks awesome!!! I especially like the pillars, moldings and built-in bookcase...and it looks like you have your own laundry too! Can't beat that. :)

Good luck with your new life's chapter. I'm sure you'll transition into it with ease...

Hey Scott,

Keep us informed as to how you are doing.
I used to work with a guy from Houston and he said you do things just opposite of how you do things in Chicago. In Chicago, you stay in the house in winter and go out during summer. In Houston, you go out during winter and stay in during summer.
