Rick and I arrived home with Jeremiah and Angela behind us. We were able to unload the trailer in record time and had some dinner before they headed on to their home.

Scott called and he arrived back at school around 4:30.

In reflection, I just want to let Jim and Kaye know what a fantastic job they did with the arrangements this weekend. I know I heard that several people were impressed with how smooth it went. Job well done to both of you. I know we all had a part in it, but I do feel Jim and Kaye deserve special recognition.

We have placed the cross from the casket on our fireplace tonight in front of the flag that was on Grandpa's casket. It is very fitting there. We have not done much else other than move all of the furniture in tonight.

Missy, the toast you gave was excellent. If you don't mind sharing, I'd like to have a copy of it. At dinner tonight, we were talking and the one thing that would have topped our luncheon off would have been "root beer floats" to make us all feel better.

Bobby and Scott - pallbearers once again and a special part that was to do for your last deed to Grandma.

Missy, Angela and Tommy did a wonderful job with the readings and finally, Dana and Sami, your part with taking the gifts up.

Everyone had a job and we all did well. Kaye, Shawn, Terry and I did our part with the tears.

Looking forward to hearing from Fred's to know they arrived safely home and expecially from Tommy on his acceptance to college.

We look forward to our next time to be together.

Love,

Ellen and Rick

Kudos to all for your participation. I am very impressed with Father Joe's homily. I think Grandma would be very pleased.
It was wonderful to be with everyone. Of course the occasion could have been better. I was speaking with Dad today and we were talking about how special a family we really have.
Uncle Rick and Aunt Ellen, let us know if the 23rd works for you. I hope your new rec room looks very nice. Dave and I have decided to refinish the bedroom set ourselves. It will be nice bonding time.

Thank you Ellen for your kind words. We must give credit to Fred, Tommy and Missy for helping plan the mass. I want to thank everyone for all their help these past few days. We have 95% of the apartment cleaned out and 90% of the financial paperwork completed in two days. Wow!

I too would like a copy of the toast that Miss gave. Great minds think alike - we put our cross on the mantle. It looks nice under the Beyer Coat of Arms.

We have received a few more sympathy cards and mass cards. I will make a list of who sent what and email everyone.

I feel fortunate to be a member of this family. I'm sure Grandma is smiling at all of us.
