Well it has been awhile since I last got on -- hope everything is going great with everyone. EIU is going, and will be on Thanksgiving break next week, the plan for the week is to head to the Orlando area with two friends, Jamie and Aaron, and spend three days at the Disney Parks and two days at the Universal Studios parks.

Classes are going pretty good, I just completed my practicum experience for this semester, I was a sixth grade math teacher for four weeks at Sullivan Middle School and even had a chance to attend the middle school dance, which was a great time! Now the rest of the semester is filled with unit plans, book talks, and projects!!

I am still working on the horse farm, I just started training a three year-old American Warmblood, and the farm is going to put us in our first show at the beginning of January, then I'll be showing her intro-training level dressage this spring, wish us luck! Here is a photo of the two of us from this past Saturday, her name is "Fillagree."

Hope all is going great with everyone else!

What an experience to teach sixth grade! Were the kids well behaved? What grade are you interested in teaching?

Thanks for the pics and good luck with the training.

Enjoy your thanksgiving break at disney. Bobby's girlfriend was there 2 weeks ago. She had a blast.

Yes for the most part the kids were very well behaved, however I did have to use my "teacher" voice for my third hour class, and gave the "teacher" look once or twice to keep them on task, other that it was a great experience. Our classroom had a SmartBoard which allowed for a lot of virtual manipulatives in my lessons.

I plan on teaching in a middle school and after sixth grade, I think I am hooked on them!
